What is this metric used for?
The Race allows to understand how your competitors are positioned overall.
By analyzing your competitors' scientific and technical production, it is possible to position them in relation to each other on a certain domain or topic. This way you can have a quick and global overview of where everyone is located, who is leading the race and especially where your organization stands in relation to them.
To use the Race, you must first have set up the list of organizations you want to compare. To get further information, please refer to the Set up Organizations to run a Competitive Landscape article.
How is the graphic built?
In order to offer a global vision, the graph aggregates 6 dimensions to analyze the different players around a topic: experience, momentum, networks, patent activity, scientific activity, and buzz.
The score obtained is then taken to a scale from 0 to 100 for better understanding (the player obtaining the best overall score is automatically set to 100).
To go further
The graph shows the overall ranking of your competitors and your company on a topic.
